If you want to be a man, lose your safety strands You will never look back as a matter of fact. You're thinking "What do you know about being a man?" And you're absolutely right but I'll still put up a fight. I wake up and I want to be anonymous, man, Not knowing where to start can be a safe place to land. It's got nothing to do with what you stand to lose, It's one moment in time, not something you choose. It can never not be, never could not be, heart attack. It can never not be, never could not be, heart attack. All I want to know is if I make you feel, heart attack. All I want to know is if I make you feel, heart attack.

You break all my pretty things, watch me cry and pick them up. I gather pieces from every room and make a shrine to show you up. Eat my dust if you must, why did it have to be this way? I held on for as long as my body would obey. So bless this mess, bless this mess, bless this mess we're living in. Why do you want to hurt me so, is it just because you can? No one will ever know as much as you, but we know when we see a man (and we don't). Why do you lie? The peace you seek is in those secrets that you keep. Self-control is a useful tool, I guess your mama forgot that too. So bless this mess, bless this mess, bless this mess we're living in.

Admit Defeat 02:04
You're taking it hard because you didn't receive The love that you felt you deserved to receive. It's a shock when your usual ways to get by Don't work anymore, tell the world you concede. There's a clock that lives in my head, in my heart It loves to tell the time when things fell apart. Just when I think I forgot all about it It gets louder and louder. It 's closer, it's clearer . It goes tick-a-tick-a-toc-toc- listen to me So I go take a walk walk walk to the beat On any other day I might win at ignoring it But as for this day, I'll just admit defeat.

What have you done with your time, alone? On the very first day, I planted a seed. I watered, I cared and I cried for the seed. But the seed did not grow. I should have known better. The seed did not grow. How did I get to be so alone? The last thing we wanted, that's the thing we did best. And now I try to digest it any way that I can, But when the darkness she calls, I let her in, It's only for tonight. How did we get to be so alone? Do you believe in living? Do you believe in loving? Do you believe in setting yourself free? I believe in living. I believe in loving. I believe in setting yourself free. Like fire. I'm free, like fire. I'm wild and I'm free. Like fire. Dans ma prochaine vie, choses à réglées, entre toé puis moé, puis un pot de café. Do you believe in living? Do you believe in loving? Do you believe in setting yourself free? I believe in living. I believe in loving. I believe in setting yourself free. Like fire. I'm free, like fire. And it burns, burns, burns, to be free like fire.

You and me in Waikiki, I don't even know how it came to be. I had been living all my life as if I were on a Sunday drive, That is until the day when I met you. When you ask me to be true, I will, I will, I will, I do. I'm overcome with joy when I'm with you. I expect I'll come across those old familiar ways of loss, I will not house them here, they cannot stay. When you ask me to be free, I will, I will, I will, I'm me, I can't believe the way that you see me. Ouap ouap ouap ouap fait le chien Ouap ouap ouap ouap fait le chien Ouap ouap ouap ouap fait le chien C'est le mien! C'est le mien! xo

I found freedom from thinking about you I found freedom from thinking about you I just think of the shitty things you do, I take a little walk, Forget all the shitty things you do, That's freedom for me. I heard you talk about the friend who let you down, Well, don't lose heart, and it's a good thing you found out, Because a friend won't let you down, at least not in that way, And it's good to find out now, That's freedom for you. The kids all talk about this place down by the lake, The moon hangs out and no one questions if it's late, Because the moon can take it's time, no one is bothered by that. The moon can take it's time, It's called Freedom of Moon. F-R-E-E that's me.
